Session recordings available here

This thematic clinic provided an opportunity to ask - and answer - questions on the topic of linking social protection responses to employment and economic inclusion initiatives, in the short and medium/long term. How have other countries been doing this? What does the evidence show?

'Clinic' sessions were an opportunity for participants to ask practical, technical questions on various topics that have been very relevant to the COVID social protection response. These were either answered 'live' or via a subsequent written discussion forum. The sessions were staffed and moderated by designated 'resource people' on that topic, but answers were provided by peers as well.

Designated resource people (allocated across Clinic A and B):
- Marlowe Popes, BRAC
- Julie Kedroske, BRAC
- Thierry Fiquet, Socieux+
- Miguel Peromingo, Socieux+
- Anna McCord, ODI
- Carolina de Miranda, Fundación Capital
- Rodolfo Beazley, SPACE
- Laura Alfers, WIEGO and SPACE
- Renata Nowak, UNDP
- Sameer Khatiwada, ADB
- Frederique Leprince, National Family Benefit Fund (Caisse Nationale d’Allocations Familiales - CNAF)

Moderator:

- Aude de Montesquiou, PEI

This clinic was hosted by the Social Protection for Employment Community (SPEC) and Partnership for Economic Inclusion (PEI), and co-organised by SPACE – Social Protection Approaches to COVID-19: Expert advice, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and German Development Cooperation (GDC).
