Regional Social Protection Advisor
Giulia Baldi is an Italian national, with fifteen years of experience in programme and policy-related work on nutrition, health, social protection and food security with the United Nations, i.e. WFP and UNICEF, in various humanitarian and development contexts. 
Prior to her current role as WFP Regional Social Protection Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean, she was working with the Nutrition Division in Rome (2014-2018). Before that, Giulia has served in various duty stations with WFP, as Programme and Policy Officer, in Peru (2005-2009), Afghanistan (2009-2011), and Indonesia (2011-2013).
Between 2001 and 2004, she worked on child survival-related programmes with UNICEF New York, Health Section, and as Programme Coordinator at the Center for Global Health and Economic Development of Columbia University, New York.
Giulia holds a bachelor in Economics and Management of International Organizations from Bocconi University, Milan and a master in Public Health (Epidemiology) from Columbia University, New York.
