Zehra is the SRSP/HCT specialist for UNICEF MENA since July 2020.  Most recently she was working as the KML Specialist with the Grand Bargain Cash Sub Group on linking SP and humanitarian cash transfers.  Her experience with social protection began as the Humanitarian Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Health and Social Development in the British Virgin Islands supporting the senior leadership team in the aftermath of the 2017 hurricanes with a special focus on scaled-up cash programming and shock responsive social protection systems.  Her career spans humanitarian emergencies globally in natural disasters and conflict working primarily with cash, livelihoods and early recovery.  She’s worked in both technical and leadership capacities for a variety of agencies and also as an independent consultant.
