Carolina Trivelli, currently works as Senior Researcher at the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP). Ms. Trivelli is an Economist and holds a MSc in Agricultural Economics from The Pennsylvania State University.
She serves as Chair of the Board of Pagos Digitales Peruanos S.A. She is a member of the Board of Kunan (a social entrepreneurship network) and of Busara Center for Behavioral Economics (Kenya). She also serves at the International Advisory Board of RIMISP (Latin American Center for Rural Development) and is a member of the High Level Panel of the ID4D Initiative (World Bank). She is a board member of Banco de la Nación. She is also a member of the Technical Advisory Committee on Measuring Poverty (INEI) and the Fiscal Committee of Peru, an independent body appointed to oversee the country's fiscal policies. She is currently a columnist for El Comercio, a national newspaper. She works as an independent consultant for several international organizations (FAO, IFAD, ECLAC, UNCDF, World Bank, Interamerican Development Bank, Helvetas, Alliance for Financial Inclusion, Better than Cash Alliance, Ford Foundation, among others).
She was Minister of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru (2011-2013) and has worked as Managing Director of Pagos Digitales Peruanos and as Director General of the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (2001-2005)
