Nurth Palomo is a research consultant at the International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG). At the IPC-IG she has conducted research and policy analysis in Latin America and the Caribbean region. Recently, she has co-authored reports on social protection responses to COVID-19 with partners like UNICEF LACRO. In the last two years, she contributed to research on breastfeeding policies, migration and social protection.
In the past, she worked as academic researcher and cooperation consultant. She managed cooperation agreements and projects of national and local governments with organizations like OAS, IDB, World Bank –IFC and UNDP in Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil. As a scholar, she has been publishing and conducting research in the fields of public policies, social protection, migration and south-south cooperation.
Ms. Palomo holds a Master’s in Political Studies from the National University of Colombia, a Master exchange certificate in International Relations from the institute of International Relations of the University of Brasilia in Brazil and a BA in International Relations and Political Studies from Nueva Granada University of Colombia.
