Susanna Sandström is a Regional Advisor in WFP’s East and Central Africa Regional Bureau in Nairobi. Prior to that she was the Head of the Economics and Markets Unit in WFP’s Research Assessment and Monitoring Division in Rome. Her key expertise is poverty and food security analysis and she has several publications in the areas of food security, aid effectiveness and impact evaluation. Before joining WFP she held a position with the UNU World Institute for Development Economics Research. Susanna holds a PhD in Economics from Abo Akademi University in Finland.
